| West Coast Veterinary Eye Specialists was founded in December 2004. For several years prior to that, Dr.Keller visited the Vancouver area monthly as a consultant at the Animal Critical Care Hospital in Burnaby. Dr. Ford was trained in veterinary medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College where Dr. Keller taught for many years. Dr. Ford continued her education at the University of Missouri and after she finished her training as a veterinary ophthalmologist the two of them got together and plans for WCVES were created. Half a year later the clinic was opened.
At our clinic we have a spacious reception area, multiple exam rooms, a diagnostic area, a surgical suite and a large treatment room. Our clinic is designed to offer a safe and comfortable environment to practice veterinary ophthalmology at a high standard.
We are equipped with slitlamp biomicroscopes, indirect and direct ophthalmoscopes, applanation tonometers, and a fundus camera. In addition we have operating microscopes, a phacoemulsification unit, an electrocoagulation unit, a diode laser, and perform gonioscopy and electroretinography. |
